I have about fifty books on perspective and have never seen some of the techniques used here. I also studied under Radu Vero, who penned his own (complicated, complicated, complicated) tome on perspective, yet Gary Meyer still manages to surprise. Love his quick way of calculating distance in deep space, his systems of measurement and everything else about this disc. He also introduces essential tools (not to be taken lightly) for correct measuring in space. This one is a work of instructional genius and is a great precursor to the other two discs. If you're just learning perspective get this disc. The learning curve may seem steep, that's natural, but this disc gives a great , solid foundation that will get you off to the right start. Even advanced people can learn from it, as I did.
My perspective got better by leaps and bounds!
These dvds are phenomenal! Perspective is the one thing I've struggled with for years but Gary Meyer is a true master of his craft and gives so much valuable information. I can honestly say my perspective has gotten better by leaps and bounds after watching all 3 of his dvds. I mean the guy has been doing this longer than I've been alive!
Fundamentals of Perspective 1
Very easy to follow DVD. I am very new to perspective drawing and watching this DVD has definitely increased my knowledge of it. Very simple, easy to follow, and easy to learn from Gary Meyer. Will definitely buy his other DVDs.
